Rosemount 54E & 5081 - With Pre-amp

Cable Colour Coding Instrument Terminal Name Uniloc Terminal Number
Purple TC 3
Blue TC 4
Yellow TC 5
Red Reference 7
Red Reference 8
White mV in 10
Black - 5 VDC 11
Green + 5 VDC 12
Note 1: The temperature compensator is 100 Ohm Pt RTD.
Note 2: Slide switch S1 toward the edge of the circuit board to select external amplifier.
Note 3: The preamplifier does not support diagnostic features, if any.

Rosemount 54E & 5081 - Without Pre-amp

Cable Colour Coding Instrument Terminal Name Uniloc Terminal Number
Black RTD Sense 4
Black RTD In 5
Red Ref In 7
Clear mV In 10
Note 1: Set Preamp location jumper to “Analyzer” in front panel
Note 2: A jumper is required between Terminal Numbers 7 & 8 on Terminal Block TB1.  This will disable any diagnostics for reference impedance in the analyser.  A second jumper is required between Terminal Numbers 3 & 4 on Terminal Block TB1.  This disables the automatic cable length compensation for the 100 Ohm Platinum Temperature Element (temperature must be calibrated manually in the transmitter, if required).  No manual calibration of the temperature element should be required for cable lengths of less than 16 feet.
